Westfield's Asa Bales Park is named after the founder of Westfield, who played a major role in Indiana's Underground Railroad. To the south of Westfield is Carmel; Noblesville is just to the east.

Westfield is in Hamilton County, one of the fastest growing counties in Indiana. Other cities in Hamilton County include Carmel, Noblesville and Fishers. In Westfield, the average home price is $270,000, with prices generally ranging from the low $100,000's to $5,000,000.
